Your
Journey to Understanding
Taking the next step towards an assessment can feel like a big decision, but it doesn't have to be overwhelming. Whether you're seeking answers for yourself, your child or someone you support, our aim is to make the process as clear, supportive and reassuring as possible. From your first conversation through to your personalised report, we're here to help you understand how you or your child learns, recognise individual strengths and provide practical recommendations that create a clear path forward.

1
Recognise the signs
If you’ve noticed ongoing difficulties with reading, writing, spelling, organisation, memory or processing information - either for yourself or someone you support - you’ve already taken the first step towards understanding.
2
Speak to a specialist assessor
Book a conversation with a qualified specialist teacher assessor who can listen to your concerns, answer your questions and explain the assessment process in a supportive, reassuring way.
3
Complete a Full Diagnostic Report Assessment
Your assessment is carried out by a qualified assessor holding an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) and follows the professional standards set by the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC).

4
Receive your personalised report
Your Full Diagnostic Report clearly explains the findings, identifies whether dyslexia or another Specific Learning Difficulty (SpLD) is present, and provides an easy-to-understand profile of your strengths and areas for development.
5
Receive practical recommendations
The report includes tailored recommendations and strategies to support learning, education, the workplace and everyday life, helping you access the support that's right for you.
6
Move forward with confidence
With greater understanding and a personalised action plan, you'll have the knowledge and confidence to take the next step—whether that's accessing support, applying for reasonable adjustments, or simply understanding how you learn best.
