Learning Kit Assesments
Welcome to Learning Kit Assessments, founded by Eleanor Russell, a dedicated and motivated professional with over 25 years of teaching experience. Throughout her career, Eleanor has worked with children and adults in both state and independent schools, specialising in supporting individuals with neurodiversity, including dyslexia, ADHD, DCD/dyspraxia, ASD and Maths difficulties.
Having served as the Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) at an Oxfordshire secondary school for 8 years, Eleanor is dedicated to empowering students to reach their full potential. She now offers a comprehensive range of services to support learners of all ages, including Full Diagnostic Report assessments for dyslexia, ADHD, and DCD/dyspraxia, aspects of Maths as well as Workplace Needs Assessments, exams access arrangements, short educational reports and neurodiversity screeners.
Eleanor’s qualifications and credentials reflect her commitment to professional development and excellence in education. She holds a BA Degree in Geography with Sociology and a PGCE. She also has a PGCert in Literacy Difficulties (Level 7), Qualified Teaching Status and an MSc in Psychology from Oxford Brookes University (accredited by the British Psychological Society). In addition, she has an up-to-date APC and AMBDA (accredited by the British Dyslexia Association) and she maintains an active DBS check on the Update Service.
Her academic interests lie in the relationship between self-esteem, inattention, working memory, and how these factors affect academic achievement, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
Outside of her work, Eleanor enjoys being a SEND link governor for a local primary school in the Coastal Learning Partnership group https://www.coastalpartnership.co.uk/ , walking along the scenic Dorset coastline, attending St Swithun’s church https://lovechurch.org.uk/about, swimming, spending time with her grown-up children and time in the garden with her dog, Willow.
Eleanor is deeply committed to supporting individuals with learning differences. She looks forward to working with you, supporting you to unlock your learning and encouraging you to achieve your academic and personal potential.
